Ever felt wrong about your profession? This nurse killed babies by crushing their heads
Nurse Marie Fikáčková crushes the heads of at least 10 babies because their crying infuriates her. In this gruesome photo, he shows the authorities how he killed small victims by simulating the gesture on a doll. She was hanged on April 13, 1961, at the age of 24. She stated that she suffered from pedophobia (fear of children) during menstruation.
Marie Fikáčková was a Czechoslovak nurse. She was so wrong in this profession that she managed to turn her task, the medical care of newborns in the obstetric ward, into a grotesque opposite of that.
She killed babies.
Marie was born in 1936 in what was then Czechoslovakia to German parents. Her father is said to have been a proud German who hated the Czechs. Her family environment was completely disrupted. A marriage to a Czech man failed.
She graduated from medical school and worked as a nurse from 1957. On February 23, 1960, two newborns died during her shift. An autopsy revealed that both children had died of unnatural causes.
Marie was arrested and confessed that she had crushed both babies’ skulls. She also testified during this interrogation that she had injured countless other children during her work hours. Although not all of these newborns had died, according to her own testimony, she had murdered eight more children.
She gave pedophobia as the motive.
The crying children annoyed her and kept her from work. During menstruation, these feelings are said to have increased into a real hatred towards children.
This is how her tantrums arose, and she hurt the children, sometimes fatally.
The psychological report assessed Marie as sane. She was convicted for the murders of two children, as the other eight could not be proven against her.
For the judiciary, this should not have made much difference. After all, a death sentence can only be carried out once anyway.
Marie Fikáčková was hanged on April 13, 1961, at the age of 24.
