Gaga, Madonna, Olly Murs: Celebrities who've gone naked on stage
Before getting a birthday cake peace offering metaphorically thrown in her face by Kelly Osbourne, Lady Gaga was having a wonderful time in London, giving fans a bit of a surprise when she stripped completely naked during an appearance at G-A-Y on Saturday (October 26).
As shocking as Gaga's disrobing may have been, the 'Venus' singer is of course not the first celebrity to bare flesh during a performance - not by a long shot. Here are some more examples of stars going full frontal - or pretty close to it - on stage.
Madonna

It's almost a certainty in life that if Gaga does something, Madonna will have done something similar. We've seen the legendary popstar naked more times than we can count in a variety of mediums over the past 30 years, and even though she's now well into her 50s, Madge has no intention of covering up in a nice cardie.
The summer heat must have really got to Madonna during her 'MDNA' tour last year, as she randomly felt the need to expose her right breast during a June concert in Istanbul, before giving the left one an airing in Paris the following month, presumably because it was feeling left out. We'd expect nothing less from someone who believes so passionately in equality!
Anna Friel, Jerry Hall, Rosamund Pike and Kelly Brook (to name but a few)
Getting naked for a play almost seems to be a rite of passage for female actors, given how many of them have stepped into the spotlight without a stitch of clothing. Among the more notable examples are Anna Friel draping herself across a chaise longue while channelling Audrey Hepburn in 2009's Breakfast at Tiffany's, Jerry Hall stripping off to play ultimate cougar Mrs Robinson in a stage adaptation of The Graduate and Bond girl Rosamund Pike wearing nothing but high heels in 2003's Hitchcock Blonde, admitting to Esquire ten years later that she "missed the detail" about going naked
Even Kelly Brook, who is more known for her modelling than acting work, ended up going topless the very first time she signed up for a theatre role in 2000, playing a stripper named Anya in a painfully serious production called Eye Contact. After that, those who witnessed her guest stint in burlesque show Forever Crazy last year must have felt short-changed with a mere glimpse of her bum cheek.
David Walliams
Little Britain got progressively more outrageous as its popularity increased back in the early noughties, so when David Walliams and Matt Lucas came to take their comedy creation on the road, they knew they had to pull out something big, so to speak.
The result was David stripping completely naked on a nightly basis to packed theatres, creating a 'mangina' effect with a bit of creative tucking during a sketch where his obsessive Downing Street aide Sebastian Love takes another crack at seducing the Prime Minister (Buffy star Anthony Head). This writer had the... 'pleasure'... of witnessing David's nude origami live and can assure you that it's an image not easily forgotten.
Rage Against the Machine
Until now this rundown has featured relatively harmless examples of celebrities going nude, but sometimes the simple act of stripping off gets people's backs up. And it probably won't come as much of a surprise to learn that it's those pesky rock stars that have on occasion pushed things to the point where people get hurt.
McElderry-slaying 'Killing in the Name' rockers Rage Against the Machine silently protested against an organisation trying to censor rock and rap music by taking to the Lollapalooza stage in 1993 wearing nothing but strips of duct tape across their mouths, making for a bunch of seething concert-goers. Bandmember Zack de la Rocha would later recall: "A lot of quarters were thrown at our d**ks." Men of DS, you may now wince.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
And while we're talking about rock stars getting nude, how can we not mention the Red Hot Chili Peppers? The band spent pretty much all of the '90s naked, even when performing live, popping on some strategically-placed white socks to spare those of a more nervous disposition.
Their barely-clad performances became so well known that they even crossed over into mainstream culture, with the Chilis inspiring the citizens of Springfield to strip off in a classic episode of The Simpsons.
