A mother says she was left horrified after her son went viral for having sex in a plane toilet with a woman 'he'd only just met at the airport

Piers Sawyer, who was celebrating his 23rd birthday, and an unnamed woman were caught in the act by cabin crew member who opened the door to expose the duo during the flight to Ibiza.

The pair were met with applause and cheers of 'top girl' as they wandered shamelessly back to their seats.

Now, his mother Elaine has told The Sun she was shocked as the 'embarrassing' footage of her son was shared by pals and even discussed on ITV's Loose Women.

She said that although it is 'not something a mum wants to see', she doesn't think the pair 'were doing anyone any harm' and claims the steward 'shouldn’t have just opened the door'.

Piers took a 'party plane' to Ibiza with his friends last Friday to celebrate his 23rd birthday, his mother has revealed.

She told The Sun that the 'single lad' and his friends 'were all just having a good time in the airport' when he met the woman he would later join the so-called Mile High Club with.

'You’re aware these things are going to happen at the holiday destination but you don’t expect it to happen on the flight,' she told the newspaper.

'You just don’t think about stuff sometimes. Yes it’s embarrassing but I don’t think they were doing anyone any harm.' 

She says her son 'doesn't want to talk' about the incident and suspects that he 'probably just wants to forget it'. 

Footage recorded on the flight showed passengers whooping and screaming with delight when the cabin crew member opened the door to expose Piers and the woman having sex.

The video taken on the flight from Luton appears to show the duo were in no mood to stop early, with the man promptly shutting the door again so they could continue.

A second clip sees them waving their arms defiantly with no hint of blushing as they walk down the aisle of the plane to their seats, while thrilled passengers cheered them on.
